Maria Laumark

Dramaturg / Access Consultant / Translator / Director / Facilitator

Maria is from Aarhus, Denmark, but has lived in London since 2017.

She works across multiple disciplines in theatre but has a focus on devising, new writing, access and international collaborations.

She is currently working part-time as Assistant Producer for Told by an Idiot and as Co-lead Facilitator for Angel Shed. I am also currently doing the MA Dramaturgy at Birkbeck University.

Maria has worked with companies such as Zoo Co, Royal Court Theatre, The Old Vic, Foreign Affairs, Cut the Cord and Omnibus.

She has toured internationally with her own company and worked in Denmark, Sweden, Ecuador, Poland and Croatia on international projects.

She is an experienced facilitator and delivers workshops across the UK and Denmark.

Maria works as a translator in Danish and English. You can experience her latest translation and adaptation of David Eldridges play Middle at Teatret Svalegangen this autumn.

Maria has worked as an Access Consultant and Access Support Worker on shows with integrated sign language, creative captions and audio description. She also has British Sign Language level 2.
